How we handle your data on Class Hub.
1. What data is collected
- We store your class display name so your teacher can identify your work.
- We store your class files and activity responses (checklists, reflections, rubric answers).
- We store basic event timestamps (for example join time and upload time).
- These events link to your class and student record and may include an IP address, which is truncated by default. They do not include helper prompts or uploaded file contents.
- We never require student email or student password for normal class use.
- Teachers and approved staff can see student work in their class. Other classes cannot.
Don't upload sensitive documents
Never upload medical records, government IDs, passwords, or financial information. We do not require this information for class.
Consider using a nickname instead of personal information.
2. How to export or delete your work
You own your artifacts. While in an active session, you can export or delete your files at any time.
Student controls are at /student/my-data: rename, download, delete, and end session.
Students can delete their own artifacts and class activity history from My Data at any time.
3. What gets deleted and when
We don't hold on to your data forever.
